- Mould Investigations
Drywalls, wood, carpets and cabinetry are among some of the places that are susceptible to mold growth. Even a small unnoticeable leak can result in the ideal conditions that can lead to mold growth. Mold has the potential to grow at a rapid pace and hence can become a huge problem in a very short time span. Mould results in a lot of health problems and hence it is necessary to eliminate this as soon as possible.
Here is what we can do to ensure Mould is controlled in the indoor environment:
1) Relative Humidity Levels in the indoor air are maintained between 45 and 55 percent.
2) Leaks, infiltrations and water losses are controlled immediately and dealt with in a diligent manner. Most surfaces already have Mould spores on them, and it would take for some Mould species 24 hours to begin germination and can become fully grown within 48 hours and up to 12 days.
3) Maintain a healthy indoor airborne spore levels by maintaining the air filtration systems in your home (HVAC)
4) Engage in regular testing and evaluation of the indoor air quality. This is important so that you are aware of the status of your home's health. It is like a doctor's visit for your home.
